Melitta follows open to further investments in Brazil, says President of Council

The Melitta Group remains open to new business opportunities in Brazil's coffee industry even after major investments this year, said on Thursday the President of the Advisory Board of the company in the country, Bernard Wolfson.
"In all these years in the country, the Melitta has always had a plan of growth in investments, a strategic plan, which must continue," said he to the Reutes in the range of EnCafé, the largest brazilian coffee industry event, held this week in Bahia.
One of the main coffee market of Brazil, the Melitta Group announced in October to build your fourth factory in the country, in Varginha (MG), with initial investment of more than 8 million reais and expectation to generate revenues close to 200 million dollars over the next four year s.
"The factory will service all lines of Melitta and be ready sometime in 2018, probably in the second half," said Wolfson, who until February served as President of the company for South America, being replaced by Marcelo Del Nero Barbieri.
Currently, the Melitta Brazil's has factories in Avaré (SP), Bom Jesus (Rio Grande do Sul) and Guaíba (RS).
The announcement of the plant following the acquisition by Melitta Brazil's, in April, of mining Baron coffee brands and strong D +, belonging to the Mogyana Group. At the time, the value of the deal was not disclosed.
"The Melitta believes a lot in Brazil and continues with much interest to develop your Brazilian business," concluded Wolfson.
