Sector billed more than R $40 billion in the 2nd Tri

The franchising market recorded a growth of 5.9% in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period of 2018. The revenue went from R $40.734 billion to R $43.122 billion. The revenues accumulated in the last 12 months had a growth of 6.9%, from R $168.360 billion to R $179.933 billion, according to data from the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF). The report shows that the opening and closing movement of stores had a positive balance of 2.1%, with 4.3% open operations and 2.2% closed. In the period, the volume of franchise units in operation in the country reached 159,656. Featured Segments All 11 segments listed by the ABF recorded positive variation in the second quarter against the same period of 2018. The research indicated that the sector with the highest growth was services and other business, with a high of 8.9%. They contributed to the increase in the demand for administrative services and automation processes, the performance of fintechs and suppliers in the chain of payment and credit facilities. The educational services recorded the second highest growth, with 8.7%. The study also shows a growth in the participation of the regions: South (9.7% to 10.3% in revenues), northeast (13.6% to 13.9%) and Midwest (8.4% to 8.6%) Market total.
